In December 2022, the County Forestry Board completed the planting of over 1,600 native trees and shrubs on approximately four acres of the area formerly known as the “Enclave” property that the community purchased in 2021, ensuring that this land will be forever protected from development.

On November 4, 2022, County Executive Steuart Pittman, along with forestry division representatives from the Department of Inspections and Permits, joined members of the CCA Board of Directors and Town Manager Martin H. Simon in a ceremonial tree planting at Crofton’s “front yard”.

Greater Crofton Chamber of Commerce Community Awards Ceremony 10-19-22.
CCA Town Manager Martin Simon presents Citizen of the Year Award to resident Renee Speer. Chief Earl Fox presents Police Officer of the Year Award to Cpl. Jason Jett and promotes him to Sergeant.
The Crofton Flags for Heroes display will be up through November 19th along Route 3 near the Crofton main entrance. For the first time, there are 100 flags on display, most with dedications from family or friends for veterans, service men and women, and first responders. 11-2022.




8th Annual Chili Cookoff 10-19-22
Eight competitors participated in the 8th Annual Crofton Chili Cook-off at the Crofton Farmers Market. The event was hosted by Stroll Crofton Triangle (its last official program) and the Crofton Kiwanis Club, and it was for the benefit of the Crofton Christian Caring Council’s (CCCC) Food Pantry. $830 was raised for the pantry.
